Who’s pumped for the weekend? It’s going to be above freezing all weekend! You have no idea how happy this makes me. I also, have NO plans Saturday. I can’t wait to fill the day with an epic breakfast and a 2 hour run! Since I’m taking advantage of this weather and finally doing a long run OUTSIDE, I thought I would share some of my favorite podcasts. I don’t have a running buddy for this longer run so I’m relying on these podcasts to entertain me. Sorry, there’s no This American Life to be found, but all of these are equally as awesome and tend to be more on the comedic side.
Well, I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Wits - It’s live public radio show in which host John Moe brings world-class comedians, actors and musicians to the stage of the Fitzgerald Theater. Wits mixes improv, sketch comedy, conversations, music and genuine beauty.
WTF with Marc Maron - Marc tackles the most complex philosophical question of our day - WTF? He gets to the bottom of it with help from comedian friends, celebrity guests and the voices in his own head.
Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me - NPR’s weekly current events quiz.
Tangentially Speaking with Dr. Christopher Ryan - This podcast is dedicated to the idea that good conversation is organic, revelatory, and free to go down unexpected paths.
The Joe Rogan Experience - Comedian Joe Rogan hosts all different types of guest and the conversation is always interesting and challenging.
The Duncan Trussell Family Hour - You might know him from THIS but Duncan’s podcast is a weekly salon-style supershow where he explores the outer reach of the multiverse.
The Drunken Taoist - Daniele Bolelli runs this awesome podcast which he describes as, “About anything that has a heartbeat.”
UltraRunner Podcast - My favorite running podcast, features interviews with ultra top athletes, expert writers and people that are killing it in the ultra world. They talk about nutrition, training tips, sports psychology, ultra race review/previews, odd trail encounters and beer!
Pop Culture Happy Hour - This is my way of indulging in celebrity gossip and not feeling too guilt about it! It’s NPR’s lively chat about books, movies, television, comics and they anything else that strikes a nerve.
