I finally went to Moonrise Kingdom, Wes Anderson's gorgeous masterpiece of a movie. I'll have to see it again before I can officially declare it as my favorite Anderson film. It will take a lot to beat The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, but this movie just might have. The whole soundtrack is very simple with compositions of classical composer Benjamin Britten. Moonrise Kingdom features works by Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic as well as popular gems performed by French chanteuse Françoise Hardy and the legendary country troubadour Hank Williams.
