Happy Friday everyone!
What do you all have planned this weekend? I hope everyone is spending Valentines Day with their loves or at least treating yo' self a little bit! This weekend I'm running my first race actually in Austin! I've done a few trail races in Hill Country but no real road races in Austin. So on Sunday, my boyfriend and I are running the Austin Half Marathon. I wasn't really planning on running this race (registering for the race today) but I caved and did a few long runs the last two weeks so I think I'll be fine. It won't be a PR by any means but that's ok. I've heard it's a pretty fun race. Part of me wishes I was ready for the full instead of the half. The exciting thing is that it's my boyfriend's first real race! I'm so stoked for him! His training has been a lot better then mine so I know he'll kill the race. Race day is always so much fun and I can't wait to share that experience with my love.
For Valentine's Day we are keeping it pretty low key. With a half marathon the following day we are going to take it easy and make pasta. Have you ever tried Pasta & Co.? We are picking up freshly made pasta from them for Saturday. As a runner, I have a massive love for all things pasta. I'm hoping Pasta & Co. doesn't disappoint. Not sure what kind of meal we are going to make yet. Any suggestions for healthy pasta dishes?
