Yesterday, Allan Peters posted a shot on his Dribbble that stopped me in my tracks. I was instantly drooling over the 800x600 pixel design. These designs were for a mens clothing line at Target called Greatland. Peters and his team created an identity that’s based on branding from the 20’s and 30’s. Back when brands didn’t have a consistent logo. Instead, most brands had a consistent aesthetic. I love this type of branding! Brands today seem to be larger then life and sometimes their branding falls short. The concept of creating a consistent aesthetic as the primary form of branding is so intriguing to me. “This keeps the identity and brand creative and surprising”, says Peters.
